Lahee (pestle) Mahee (Mortar). Traditional wooden mortar-and-pestle like devices used for beating rice, corn (maize) and making chilli powder. The devices are mostly used heavily in Eastern part of Bhutan.
"Drendi" is a Dzongkha word for "Carrier". The Drendi was carried by two strong men and on the Drendi sat the King and the Royal Family of the respected Lamas. This Drendi belongs to the late Second KING JIGME WANGCHUK.
