Communist Party Nepal (CPN), known as the Maoist here in Nepal, and throughtout the world, take to the streets yet again in the Capital city Kathmandu, chanting "Nobody can defeat the Maoist". The rally is taking place by the CPN over the controversial sacking of the Chief of Nepal Army staff, Rookmangud Katawal. The Government is trying to build concensus among political parties to remove Katawal. The Maoist Government of Nepal including the Defence Minister, Ram Bahadur Thapa (Maoist Party), have demanded the Chief of Army Staff to be sacked based on three counts: 1) For recruiting Nepalese Soldiers. 2) Disagreeing with the requested retirement of the eight Brigadier Generals of the Nepal Army. 3) The withdrawal of the Nepal Army from the recent National Games.
